Why Study Education Non-Licensure
This non-licensure degree option allows flexibility for students maintaining family, military, and employment obligations. The program is offered in a variety of course delivery methods. Students can select the courses that they want to take in order to best explore their educational interests.
The Education Non-Licensure Concentration, while not providing teaching licensure, emphasizes education-related disciplines related to children, adolescents, and their families. These topic-specific courses will help students to obtain their career objectives. Students with this concentration might work with pre-school children, after-school programs, paraprofessionals, and other youth-oriented activities and social agencies. In addition, this concentration may serve as preparation for seeking initial teacher licensure at the master’s level.
The College of Education faculty have years of experience teaching in the education field both at the K-12 level and higher education level and bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to help students become well-rounded and prepared to enter the teaching field.
